• Having Jill as one of my midwives was a gift. Her prenatal care was unlike anything I had experienced from a provider. She cared for me as a person, not just a client. She devotes her heart and soul into her work as though it comes naturally to her. Not only does she have a relational gift in her work but she is also knowledgable and quick to pull from her wisdom and experience when you are in her care. She challenged me during my birth and fought alongside me to bring my child into the world. She respected my desires for my pregnancy and birth the entire time. From the moment I met her right after finding out I was pregnant to walking out postpartum, she has been a continued care and support. Highly recommend Jill to be a part of your birth team!

  • Jill was my homebirth midwife, and I’m so thankful we had her. We actually met through a friend’s birth, and as a doula I’ve worked with several home birth midwives so I can be pretty picky about who I’d choose for myself. But Jill was different. She loves this work deeply, and she’s also incredibly skilled, especially when it comes to handling emergencies. That combination gave me so much peace going into a homebirth. During my prenatals, I had moments where anxiety would creep in (hello, white coat feelings), and she was always so calm and grounding. She never made me feel silly or brushed off, she just helped me ground myself. And during my birth, when I hit an emotional moments, she didn’t try to rush me through it or fix it. She just held space for me, and that meant everything. She’s just one of those people you feel safe with. I’m really grateful she was part of our story.

  • had the honor of partnering with Jill (and Shoshanah) through my second home birth baby. She is like the bestie/sister/fun aunt you want by your side in stressful situations. She’s a calming presence that put things into perspective and helps open the door for peace to flow in. She is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares for her clients. I would hands down hire her and Shoshanah again for any future babies!

  • Where do I even begin?! I couldn't have imagined a better midwife than Jill if I tried! I've never felt more excited to see a healthcare provider. She gave me her full attention and somehow made me feel like I was her only client, which I can't believe is even possible considering she cares for many other moms too. I thank God every day for the beautiful births I experienced with my amazing midwives, and having Jill there to support me during my daughter's birth was just what I needed to complete my care team.

  • I truly could not have asked for a better midwife. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond in every way. After experiencing prior miscarriages, I came into pregnancy with a lot of fear, and she met me with so much compassion and understanding. She never dismissed anything I felt but instead she listened and reassured me. Her prenatal care was incredible. Every appointment felt personal, and I always felt seen and heard. I never felt like just another "patient". We built a genuine relationship, which made the whole experience even more meaningful. During the birth, she was steady, present, and completely supportive. The experience wouldn't have been the same without her! Even after the birth, she continued a high standard of care for me in every way including physically, emotionally, and mentally. She is amazing at what she does and truly goes above and beyond. I’m so grateful for her and would choose her again without hesitation.

  • When a woman becomes pregnant, especially the first time, they have several decisions to make. The most important one is where you will deliver your child and with who? Who do you trust to take care of not just the baby but yourself as well? For me, it was an immediate decision I made when I found out I was pregnant with my first. Jill was a student midwife when I had my first. She was almost done with her training so during my labor, she was the acting midwife.  she did EVERYTHING! Jill made sure I was comfortable, secure, safe and most importantly taken care of when things went sideways. Although the home birth was a success (absolutely no regrets), I hemorrhaged afterwards and experienced some bloodloss. Never once, during my labor or postpartum when I had some serious recovery to do, did I feel neglected or unsafe. I was immediately given the correct treatment to help me. Although Jill wasn’t a certified midwife yet, I was well taken care of and stitched up so well. God led her and continues to do so. 2 Years later, when I got pregnant again with my son, I immediately texted Jill because I knew I wanted her to take care of me and she did an amazing job once again. She helped me prepare especially mentally for another home birth. A bit of a redemption maybe. I wanted a true water birth and a short labor, minimal tearing. And thank you Jesus I got that. Jill was there, she rubbed my shoulders as I transitioned. She stayed hands off when she knew I could handle it and I really appreciated it. I wanted to help my son come into this world and I was the first one to hold him and touch him. Jill’s skills don’t stop at being a midwife. She is a friend that I can still message when I need advice about motherhood and health and sick babies. She goes aboveeeee and beyond. Jill pushes when she needs to push. My son was sick at 3 months old and I was so worried. Jill decided to stop by and check on him on a sunday night after a concert with her daughter. I am so grateful to have been able to birth both kids at home with my husband and Jill by my side and I hope to do it once again. Thank you for your incredible, seriously hard work. You are awesome Jill.

  • Jill was the assistant midwife for my first birth in 2022, and when I became pregnant with my second I didn’t want anyone else. Luckily, she had just become a certified professional midwife that month! Her warm energy, bubbly personality, confidence, skill, expertise and reassurance during pregnancy, birth and postpartum was a blessing to me. When I was struggling with breastfeeding, she came right over and gave direct hands on support that if I didn’t have, I probably wouldn’t have had a successful breastfeeding journey. I truly feel that she was an angel to me when I needed the support most. I not only had the blessing of having her as a midwife but the honor of now calling her a friend.

  • Having Jill as my midwife for home birth was the best decision I ever made! I did a hospital birth with my first born and was traumatized by the experience so I decided to go the home birth route. Jill was engaging, honest, well equipped and informed to help me and my baby have a safe delivery. Something about my care with Jill was healing for me and brought an aspect of redemption from my first birthing experience. I thank God I found her because we needed a lot of care and attention and Jill gave it all and then some. She is truly amazing and gifted at what she does.

  • Jill is an absolute angel on earth! She helped empower me through a redemptive homebirth by loving and caring for me so well. She made us feel like family at every appointment- always taking time to include my older kiddo in my prenatal care and make sure he felt just as important as the baby on the way. Every concern was validated and explored until a solution was found and my husband and I felt at ease.

Having Jill as your midwife will be the best decision you ever make for your pregnancy journey- we are so lucky to know her and have care by her! We cannot recommend her enough and look forward to all of our future births with her!

  • Jill Snelson helped bring both my children into this world. She was with me through the scariest and most awesome two experiences of my life. She is such a solid, loving, peaceful presence who just makes you feel safe. I recommend her without reservation.
